For many years, there has been little left to inspire her mother. Between her suicidal tendencies, her trips to and from the psychiatric hospital, and her medication, her immobility contrasts sharply with this family of adventurers, where everyone else has chosen to travel the world. Then one day, while clearing out her grandparents' house, the director comes across an old spiral-bound notebook: her grandfather's logbook, kept during a scientific expedition to Antarctica. An extraordinary journey that he never told his mother or his other children about. With this rediscovered journal, a desire takes hold of her: to take her mother to this distant, inaccessible place at all costs. Little by little, she realizes that through this odyssey to the end of the world, she is above all trying to get her mother moving again.
