Léa Legentilhomme has a new job as a bocage technician: she replants hedges in the Roche-aux-Fées area of southern Brittany. These hedges were largely uprooted 50 years ago during land consolidation.
This decision, made to promote modern, intensive, and mechanized agriculture, radically transformed the French countryside: three out of four trees were cut down, and the water cycle, soil, and biodiversity were disrupted.
